Positions require standard Top Secret Security Clearance, with a current SSBI (less than 5 years old).

Information System Security Officer (Principal)  
The ISSO is responsible for ensuring the implementation of the Security Program developed by the Information System Security Manager for a particular system or systems. Additionally, the ISSO assists in the development and maintenance of the System Security Plan and Associated Documentation Ensuring the system is certified and accredited (C&A). ISSO is also responsible for evaluating known vulnerabilities to determine if additional safeguards are needed. Knowledge of and experience in the following areas:
- NIST 800 Series Pubs.. Mainly 800-53
- FISMA compliance
- DIACAP experience
- Networking components / firewalls, switches, servers, routers, IDS, DNS, storage...etc
- Risk Management System
- Scanning tools / Nessus / Retina
- Change Management Process
- System Development Lifecycle
- Ports and Protocols
They must be able to work in a team environment but be capable of operating independently with regards to system characterization, assimilating the necessary security requirements, assessing compliance, making remediation and/or mitigation recommendations and drafting certification documents. Candidates must also demonstrate a level of maturity in the contractor-client relationships that clearly reflects an appreciation for the client’s role. Good people skills a must.

Experience at Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is a PLUS.
