SR Software Developer - Cloud Computing - Sr Java Engineer - Algorithm Developer - TS/SCI with FSP
Are you ready to take the challenge of harnessing hundreds of thousands of processors to mine massive amounts of data? Are you a strong Java developer with a background in High Performance Computing? What you need for this position:
- Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly
- 7+ years minimum experience
- Bachelors Degree
- 5 years+ experience doing software development
- 5+ years of Java Development
- Strong understanding of algorithm development
- Strong skills in debugging, performance measurement and tuning
Desired Skills:
- Direct experience with Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Pig
- High Performance Computing (HPC) experience with supercomputers, Grid, or other highly concurrent applications.
- Python
- Linux
- Eclipse, Subversion, JUnit, Maven, Ant
- Some web development skills (JEE)
What you will be doing:
Developing algorithms to operate on large volumes of operational data, in the hundreds of petabytes, presents many challenges and offers the greatest potential for discovering patterns and anomalies.
This research will investigate advanced parallel programming techniques for implementing analytics that can effectively run on petabyte-scale operational data sets.
