Description:
This project provides full life cycle development (enhancements) and support for an operational system.-- This candidate will be a senior member of the System Engineering Team. Provide leadership & vision on project technical activities/products. Provide and support structured Process improvement activities. Provide technical engineering knowledge. Research and analyze current and future architecture limitations. Provide guidance for software development activities. Participate in the following meetings when required: Risk Review Boards, Work Management Meetings, Lessons Learned Meetings, Requirements Reviews, Code Reviews, Peer Reviews, Test Readiness Reviews, and all Engineering Meetings. Work closely with the Project Management Team. Document and manage requirements (system & software). Develop and maintain System Engineering documentation (Risk Management, System Engineering, Requirements Management, etc.). Provide support to the Operations Team when required. Develop and maintain engineering and software schedules using Primavera.
Requirements
Minimum of 8 years working as a System Engineer which includes: generating and maintaining requirements, creating and documenting systems design, participating in architecture reviews, providing guidance for software development activities, scheduling and tracking engineering activities, prototyping and assessing possible future system architectures, analyzing and resolving complex system issues, etc. Minimum of 3 years experience working in the UNIX and/or Linux environment on Dell, HP, or Compaq systems. Minimum of 3 years experience working in a Windows environment on NT, 2000, XP, or Vista Operating systems. Minimum of 1 year experience planning and performing software development. Must have strong understanding of the analytical community requirements. Must have strong background and/or understanding of SIGINT production (linguistics, analysis, reporting, etc.). Must have strong understanding of complex & large systems. Must be willing to work independently as well as with a team. Must be willing to work 40 hours per week (8 hrs/day) with a start time between 8AM - 9AM.
Assets: MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.). Experience with ClearCase, ClearQuest, Primavera, and DOORS. Experience writing shell or perl scripts. |
