Overview The client's New Campus East (NCE) Active IT Program was established to provide the infrastructure services required to build out and maintain the NCE facilities. Active Directory Engineering with Unix/Linux Experience is needed to support onsite activities.
Position Duties and Responsibilities The Active Directory Engineer with Unix/Linux Experience responsibilities will include: ...-- Understand NCE-ActiveIT requirements ...-- Gain familiarity with the client's current data center infrastructure. ...-- Document design requirements. ...-- Work with Business Analysts to design & develop functionalities that meet business requirements. ...-- Design, Implement, Test, administer and maintain an Active Directory LDAP service for a heterogeneous enterprise to include Windows, Unix, Linux hosts ...-- Use judgment and creativity to design coding approach to meet requirements/specifications as provided by business analysts. ...-- Work with end user to collect, analyze and evaluate business requirements. ...-- Examine requirements documents and create technical design documents, unit test, system test, user acceptance test, and implementation plans for NCE. ...-- Maintain current industry knowledge of development concept, practices and procedures.
Bachelors Degree with 5+ years of Experience
Required Skills: - Strong understanding of Windows and UNIX authentication mechanisms. - Experience setting up a centralized authentication mechanism for windows and non-windows (Unix/Solaris) hosts. - Experience with government C&A processes and building systems that meet these requirements. - Excellent communications skills, with the ability to interact with end-users to understand requirements and develop comprehensive and complete solutions that incorporate both technology and business processes.- Experience working in an enterprise-level environment. - Ability to work on a team as well as independently with minimal supervision to achieve project milestones and deadlines. - Proven experience in technical lead roles for Active Directory, Unix and Linux Directory Services at an enterprise level. - Analytical minded self-initiative and self-driven personality
Desired Skills: 10+ years of Experience -Diploma / Degree or equivalent qualifications in Computer Studies 2-3 years of relevant experience as a Systems Engineer for Unix, Linux and Windows NT/2000/2003/2008 Complete understanding of LDAP services to include Microsoft, UNIX, Linux -Past experience with migrating security principals from NIS/NIS+ directory services to LDAP directory service (MS Active Directory preferred) -Experience with Quest Vintela and/or Centrify tools -MCSE certification is preferred -Experience with CIFS/NFS data-stores, access control, and Windows/Unix permissions migrations.
