VICE PRESIDENT OF FEDERAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Due to rapid expansion, Ciphent seeks a results-oriented and team-motivated individual to pioneer sales activities within our Federal Government clientele base. Qualified candidates must be able to travel as required, demonstrate marked success in generating government business, and serving as Company representative to Intelligence and Defense activities. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is located near Ft. Meade, MD in the Baltimore-Washington Corridor. Job responsibilities to be commensurate with company growth.
The selected individual will have superior communication skills and possess a robust Federal business background. The ideal candidate must also have an exceptional track record of exceeding sales quotas. A MINIMUM OF AN ACTIVE TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED FOR CONSIDERATION. CANDIDATES WITH HIGHER LEVELS OF CLEARANCE WILL BE GIVEN PREFERENTIAL CONSIDERATION.
Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Generating new Federal Business across intelligence and defense sectors
•Working with current Prime Contractor partners to drive new business
•Providing consultative sales approach as serving as a primary point of contact for Clients; Identifying business needs and developing customized solutions to address complex technology challenges
•Accurately forecasting monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue streams
•Collaboration with members of the Sales Team
•Regular reporting to the Chief Executive Officer
•Capture and proposal lead experience
•Leading and facilitating marketing and sales initiatives
•Developing short- and long-term sales strategies based on overall corporate strategy; oversee implementation
•Achieving bookings and revenue targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
•Meeting with prospective, existing, and former clients
•Benchmarking campaign response rate based on result, methodology, and cost
•Conducting market research to identify target audiences
•Devising and collaborating with Marketing for the production of sales and marketing materials
•Directly managing vital developing and existing client accounts
•Representing Ciphent at various engagements, where necessary
Successful candidates must possess the following qualifications:
•Active Security Clearance – minimum of Top Secret required; higher levels highly desired
•Demonstrated success as a leader in relationship building and management
•Minimum of 10 years of domain experience selling IT / Software solutions to Intelligence, Defense clients required
•Notable success in building brand and establishing new Federal Sales relationships
•Minimum 3 years of applicable experience within services sales
•IT Certification(s), degree(s) preferred
•Knowledge of revenue forecasting
•Experience selling to Key Decision Makers (CIO, CSO, etc.)
•Strong Federal government market knowledge
•Working knowledge of SalesForce highly preferred
