| Sr. Unix Administrator - TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly |
|
Sr Unix Administrator will maintain UNIX workstations and servers at a customer location. The person will perform project work as well as O&M functions. Create and document new methods and implements changes to procedures. Provide training, mentoring and guidance to more junior staff members.
Applicants must have an active TS/SCI security clearance and Full Scope (Lifestyle) Polygraph.
Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 8-11 years of experience in Unix Systems Administration. Additional years of experience may substitute in lieu of degree.
In-depth to comprehensive knowledge of principles, concepts and techniques gained through extensive study and experience in Systems Administration. Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript or PERL. Prior experience configuring servers. Able to communicate effectively and clearly present approaches and findings; implement information plans within a project; install and configure COTS products. Capable of administering and/or managing multiple activities and consulting effectively with customers. Ability to apply methodologies, standards, and policies.
Additional responsibilities include: identifying alternative solutions, performs key trade studies, and reviews designs; consulting with customers and attends planning meetings; staying abreast of technical literature and reviews technical documents and reports. May develop and present white papers in solving major customer technical problems
