Provide Program/Project Management and support Missile Defense Programs. Responsible for cost, schedule and technical performance of programs/projects or sub-elements of major programs/projects. Duties include the key elements of Program/Project Management and Customer Relations. Must have demonstrated qualifications to plan, organize, staff, report, coordinate, control, identify/mitigate risk, and direct all phases of programs/projects from inception through completion. Direct experience with MDA is preferred. Candidate will coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms and conditions of contracts. Act as primary customer contact for all program/project activities. Candidate must assist in developing new business or expanding product lines with existing and new customers. Will exert influence on the overall objectives and long-range strategic goals of the organization. Interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between several organizations.
Basic Qualifications:
BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related field. Minimum of 5 years program/project management experience with 3 years in missile defense programs. DoD Secret Clearance required with ability to obtain TS/SCI. MS/MBA, Work Location: Boulder, CO. Knowledge of Infrared systems, Missile Defense Agency preferred. Previous business development experience preferred. Common Job Description Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas. U.S. Citizenship is required for most positions.
