The Joint Deployable Intelligence Support Systems Joint Program Office (JDISS JPO) requires a Collection Management Subject Matter Expert (SME), on-site for the management of deployed JDISS CMMA baselines to CENTAF at Doha, Qatar.
As the Collection Management SME your primary responsibilities will include providing on-site and off-site Collection Management user training to JDISS JPO customers, developing written documentation in support of CMMA training initiatives and working with JDISS Operations personnel to resolve customer trouble tickets. You will also be required to provide CMMA demonstrations to commands/organizations within CENTAF and submit travel requests, trip reports, student rosters, and training feedback forms to JDISS JPO. You will be responsible for providing Weekly Activity Report (WAR) input to JDISS JPO Training Services Lead and maintaining proficiency on JDISS Collection Mission Management Applications. You will also be responsible for identifying and maintaining awareness of collection management issues identified by JDISS JPO customers.
As the Collection Management SME, you must be a self-starter with a robust knowledge of collection management processes. This position will require you to travel to JDISS customer sites around the world.
Other responsibilities of the position include you to act as a liaison between the CENTAF and JDISS JPO, via the JDISS Operations Division, as well as implement policy and procedures throughout the JDISS user community within CENTAF’s area of operations. You will be required to coordinate support to other remote sites IN ACCORDANCE WITH JPO and CENTAF standard operating procedures, to include periodic travel to remote CONUS/OCONUS sites. You will also perform integration, engineering, technical, and communications services in order to provide support to the CENTAF’S area of responsibility. In this position you will install and upgrade JDISS baselines and mission applications, as well as respond to trouble calls and perform troubleshooting as appropriate. You will work with JDISS Engineering to model technical infrastructure characteristics using the archived information described above, in order to plan enhancements that improve the quality of service for CENTAF and coordinate with the CENTAF and the JPO to ensure that there is no diverging from approved site configurations. In this role you will receive training on technologies such as Windows technologies (e.g., Windows 2003), Solaris, Multi-Network Workstation, Communications, the segmentation process, and the documentation via traditional (e.g., school house) and web-based training methods. You will also be required to assist JDISS Engineering by coordinating the use of the CENTAF’S site as a real world test bed, as appropriate, to gain immediate customer feedback and suggestions for improving JDISS CMMA baselines.
As the Collection Management SME you will be required to travel to the JPO facility in Suitland, Maryland at least annually for familiarization, training, and updating of your knowledge as it pertains to JDISS baselines and mission applications and will provides trip reports for all off-site activities. You must maintains frequent contact with the JDISS Field Engineering Manager, by telephone or e-mail, to ensure that all issues are handled in a timely manner. This Field Engineer position has been identified as ‘mission essential’, as such, you shall adhere to all DoD directives and policies, such as Anthrax vaccinations and the use of Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical (NBC) gear as directed
Requirements:
Active TS/SCI government security clearance
Collection Mission Management Applications (CMMA) experience.
Planning Tool for Resource Integration, Synchronization, and Management (PRISM) experience
Training/teaching experience
BS in systems engineering, computer science, or an information technology discipline from an accredited university. Four years operational experience may be a substitute for the degree.
Excellent problem-solving skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently overseas with no on-site company support or supervision
Preferred Experience and Certifications:
3 years experience with UNIX (Solaris) system administration.
Ability to install, configure and trouble shoot basic networking services, such as TCP/IP and SMTP.
Configuration and administration experience with Sun, PC, and printer hardware.
Prior experience with on-site operational support
Prior experience with end user training
Microsoft, Sun, Cisco certifications
