JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for the implementation and non-production support of all technical aspects of the server environment running Red Hat Linux servers. The Sr. System Administrator will plan, install, configure, test, implement and trouble-shoot application software solutions, operating systems and hardware that make up the server environment. The Sr. System Administrator must maintain current knowledge of industry best practices and be familiar with operational and system management methodologies.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience to include 3 -5 years of operating systems experience. 4 years of additional will be considered in lieu of 4 year college degree.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4/5. Expertise with Red Hat configuration management standards. The ability to interface with development teams comprising of DBAs, security, CM, and architects.
DESIRE SKILLS: VMware experience a plus.
