Job Description
Dataline is seeking an experienced, self-directed, systems administrator to work in a full-time capacity providing systems administration support to designated special operations units. This position is deployed on a rotational basis, 6 months in and 6 months out. However, for those who are accustomed and want a longer deployment schedule we can accommodate. During non deployment, you will support the customer site at Fort Bragg, NC.
Responsibilities:
Provide support for the organizations JWICS, SIPRNet, and NIPRNet, networks. This would include performing installation, administration, troubleshooting and support of LAN operating systems, servers and applications.
Oversee the implementation of system specifications, integration, testing, and documentation are a key part of the role.
Oversight will be needed in developing and documenting administrative operational procedures as needed based on new tasks or requirements.
Interact daily with supervisors and/or functional peer groups.
Requirements:
Expertise in exhibiting strong technical skills as they relate to Microsoft Windows technologies including but not limited to: Windows Server 2003/2007, Exchange Server 2003/2007, and Microsoft SQL Server 2005
Experience in maintaining and configuring computer hardware (i.e. servers, clusters, and storage devices) would help us accomplish our mission
Ability to perform troubleshooting, load balancing and resource allocation in a production environment
Experience with maintaining Active Directory
Production experience with Windows 2003 server
2-5 years experience in the administration of LAN operating systems, servers, and applications
Military background and experience with Special Operations
Desired Experience:
Microsoft clustering and load balancing
SQL Server
SAN attached systems
VMWARE ESX 3.0.x
IIS, NAS, MOM, and terminal server
Veritas Storage Foundation
6-8 years experience in administration of LAN operating systems, servers, and applications
Large server environment
Education/Certifications:
B.S. or MS in Computer Science, Information System, Mathematics, or IT related field.
Level of Security Clearance (Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Accordingly, U.S. Citizenship is required) :
A TS/SCI clearance is required for this position.
