POSITION: Geospatial Systems Engineer - IT
CUSTOMER: DOD / IC
LOCATION: 1 position – Bethesda, MD - 50% OCONUS TRAVEL
TARGET SALARY: $90 - 110K annual (+ OCONUS Danger/Hardship Pay 70% increase)
EXPERIENCE: 4 - 6 years
START DATE: Immediately!

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Geospatial Systems Engineer - GEOREPS is seeking a geospatial analyst with unique skillsets in geospatial data management, analysis, systems administration and training. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing systems support for nonstandard geospatial intelligence data into DoD and IC geospatial systems.
The selected applicant must have familiarity with:
•ArcGIS Software
•Oracle Administration
•ArcSDE Service Management
•Maintaining 100% system performance
• Working in deployed, sometime hostile, environments
Must have knowledge of:
•Python Scripting
•web 2.0 tools
•software virtualization
•establishing systems database services
•ability to write scripts that access various software applications in languages such as PERL
Experience with systems engineering models such as the Capability Maturity Model Integration for Development Ver 1.2 (CMMI-DEV V1.2) is desired.
The successful individual must possess familiarity with NGA or other similar intelligence agency configuration management processes, geospatial intelligence analyst tools and services such as ESRI ArcGIS, knowledge of database operation (e.g. ORACLE, MySQL). Candidate must be able to provide leadership of project integration and must communicate effectively and efficiently as well as demonstrate a positive and professional demeanor. Must be willing to work independently and with a team to achieve mission success. Must be willing to work 84hours per week while deployed to OCONUS locations.
The successful candidate must have a degree in Geography, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline. At least 10 years of directly related experience or additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
A security clearance at the TS-SCI level is required. A current CI/LS poly is desired.
