Project Officer  
Project Officers must be able to identify and aggressively manage required capabilities and desired end state for assigned projects based on established priorities. This position primarily entails using innovative technologies and trend analysis to track expenditures and trace best practices for the fielding of these technologies to operational units. Duties include extensive coordination with DoD agencies, laboratories, and units, as well commercial vendors. Successful candidates will guide multi-disciplined teams that manage projects to successful completion. Project Officers require detail oriented mid to senior level individuals with experience and knowledge of acquisition practices.

Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Knowledge of life cycle management of army programs and projects.
- Knowledge of Army units, doctrine, training and operations.
- Familiarization of the DoD acquisition process.
- Information technology/database experience
- Significant experience in managing cost, schedule, and performance of projects.
- Ability to research current technologies that will satisfy identified operational requirements.
- Ability to coordinate the various aspects of contracting, funding, logistics, technology assessment,
and approval through multiple agencies and organizations.
- Extensive experience and skills with all Microsoft Office programs and office networks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (expert level ability in PowerPoint) and the ability to coordinate with all levels of leadership.
- Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) level II (or higher) certification or civilian equivalent certification strongly desired.
