| Information Assurance (IA) Analyst/Engineer |
|
ALCOSYS is recruiting to fill a full-time position vacancy for an Information Assurance (IA) Analyst/Engineer. This position requires someone who has extensive DoD-specific IA experience and working knowledge of governing DoD IA policies, experience with Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs), Cross Domain Solutions (CDS), the DISN Security Accreditation Working Group (DSAWG) process, and experience preparing C&A documentation (e.g., SSAAs, SSPs). Experience with the Vulnerability Compliance Tracking System (VCTS) and/or Vulnerability Management System (VMS) is necessary.
The IA professional chosen to support this project must have a clear understanding of and experience with the IA discipline as it applies to DOD. There is some travel (at least 5%) to conduct site surveys, both within the CONUS and OCONUS. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills are mandatory. Good interpersonal skills are mandatory for working in this fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
This IA professional will provide Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and DIACAP support. This will include STIG verification on all applicable systems scheduled for IA accreditation and Interoperability (IO) certification. Results of all STIG tests will be entered into the DIACAP database and findings tracked until resolved. Personnel that support the STIG testing must be able to interface with JITC customers in a professional manner, document issues/findings in a report that includes Risk Assessment (High, Medium, or Low), Vulnerability Analysis, Mitigation Strategy, and be able to intelligently discuss issues/findings with vendors and government personnel. This includes establishing a documented process to report vulnerabilities from each hub location up to the PMO Information Assurance Management (IAM) and coordinating with the DISA FSO in registering the PMO’s baseline security vulnerability findings. The IA professional will coordinate with the other PMO contractors in developing the mitigation POAM, respond to new vulnerability alerts, and keep track of the vulnerability status.
The IA Professional will be required to work as part of an integrated contract team comprising personnel from other government contractors and government staff.
