Position Description

The Senior INFOSEC Engineer will be responsible for analyzing technical solutions in order to provide information security assurance, ultimately ensuring all customer products achieve security accreditation.

Provide support to architecture definition, test and certification of system aspects and conduct security threat analysis and requirements capture. This role will involve the review and creation of security documentation in accordance with appropriate standards (DCID 6/3, etc.).

There will be some communication with external organizations to evaluate and determine certification and accreditation strategies which will include contact with vendors/suppliers to gather and evaluate evidence of security data.

General Requirements
Experience working as a System Engineer on complex IT related programs with significant exposure to INFOSEC/IA concepts, technologies and processes. A good understanding of Systems Engineering principals and knowledge of the DIACAP Certification & Accreditation process for crypto devices, firewalls etc.

Specific Requirements

INFOSEC knowledge
> 10 years as an INFOSEC engineer
> 7 years in DoD INFOSEC technology, policy, procedure development and implementation
> 5 years developing and assessing security vulnerabilities, risks and risk mitigation
> 5 years designing, developing and supporting secure C3I systems (Nuclear Command & Control a definite plus)

Software Architecture Security Analysis
Ability to perform security analysis IAW DCID 6/3 on software systems
Vulnerability assessment on SW, ability to analyze SW architectures for attack vulnerabilities/Risk assessment
Ability to analyze software requirements and documentation for vulnerabilities, DCID 6/3 compliance, etc.

Hardware Architecture Security Analysis
Ability to perform security analysis IAW DCID 6/3 (other standards) on hardware systems (system, box, board and FPGA highly desired, in that order)
Vulnerability assessment on HW, ability to analyze HW architectures for attack vulnerabilities
Ability to analyze hardware requirements and documentation for vulnerabilities, DCID 6/3 compliance, etc.

Clearance Requirements
TS SCI//TK NSA Lifestyle Polygraph

Educational Requirements
BS Computer Science or equivalent
